Star Trek: Redemption is a single-ship-based MUSH set in Gene Roddenberry's Star Trek universe.

For a long time we have been offline and dormant. But a recent turn of events have given us new hope for a better future. And we're glad that you've taken the chance to look at us. If you have any questions, feel free to ask any of the staff online on the game, or contact Neutron via email (moc.liamg|oep4ek#moc.liamg|oep4ek)

Set in 2380, ST:Redemption starts it's timeline after the end of Star Trek: Nemesis. The Romulans have opened negotiations, and the Klingons have begun to distance themselves from the Federation because if it. At the present time, no one in either the Federation or the Romulan Star Empire knows what will come of their talks. Only time will tell.

In 2376, Starfleet Command authorized the research and development of a new Heavy Cruiser-class starship. Starfleet Corp of Engineers saw fit to take a good thing and make it better. Utilizing the existing Sovereign-class spaceframe, they expanded on the design and added a host of new decks. New technology. And improvements. All lead to the creation of the Redemption-class starships.

The Redemption was the first of her kind. State of the art. And the first starship to employ an artificial intelligence program inside the computer core. Dubbed 'Galatea' by her creator, the AI is able to download itself into a mobile emitter and as such provide a presence anywhere on the ship. Initially, Starfleet Command feared that the AI might disagree with orders and attempt a mutiny, but the developers assured them the programming would not allow that to happen.

Commissioned in March of 2380, the USS Redemption NCC-80135 became the first ship of her kind. Having broke Earth orbit, the ship is out in space. Starting her first set of missions.
